On 21 January 2021, as part fo the FIND India webinar series on COVID-19 diagnostics, Drs Sridhar Sivasubbu and Vinod Scaria, both Senior Scientists at CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB), presented on NGS technology and medical value proposition; sequencing workflow and quality control measures; data analysis and reporting; prevailing guidelines for usage of sequencing; and mutants and understanding their impact on RTPCR testing/vaccines development.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE ?1. Microbiologists and Researchers in the attempting to sequence SARS-CoV-2 genomes and wishing to update their knowledge and skillsets in sequence analysis 2. Clinicians and Medical Students who would like to know more about the methods of sequence analysis.3. Undergraduate / Postgraduate Students with a background in life sciences / biotechnology / bioinformatics
PREREQUISTES* A workstation/ laptop/ computer with with approximately 8GBRAM with a Linux based operating system should be sufficient to run all the analyses * We would recommend a Debian based Linux distribution (Ubuntu (18.04LTS)Linux Distribution) as the Operating System with the user having superuser privileges.* Expected that the participant is well versed in Linux based operating systems and knows command-line operations
